About
I have worked with clients from all walks of life, addressing a range of concerns. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to support you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery.
I also offer couples counselling from my therapy room in Stroud. If you are looking for help in working on your relationship, I offer a service with a solution-focused, yet person centred approach. While the path to repairing a relationship does take work and time, my approach is aimed at starting the process from the first session.
in all my client work I am committed to providing a professional and confidential service that respects your individual needs and preferences.
I understand that seeking therapy can be a vulnerable and sometimes daunting experience, which is why I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for you to share your experiences. Be it individual or couples counselling, my goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship with you, based on empathy, trust, and mutual respect.
What are person-centered and integrative therapy?
Person-centered therapy is grounded in the belief that every person is the ‘expert’ on themselves and, thus, can find their way towards whatever is right for them. Therapy acts as your companion on this journey, offering the support, safety and acceptance needed to continue your natural process of ‘becoming’.
Working as an integrative counsellor, I occasionally integrate creative methods into my clients’ sessions. This takes the form of using images or objects in order to help access or express emotions or thoughts that may be elusive or are perhaps difficult to be with.
Sessions can also include ‘empty chair work’, which includes a form of role-playing where I lead clients through a dialogue with the parts of themselves or events that have remained at the edge of awareness and need to be given a voice.
The integration of anything beyond my core person-centered model will always be discussed in advance and is always taken by the client after due consideration as to wether it is in the best interest of their process. Your best interests always remain my number one priority.
I can work with a number of life issues including:
